Songs from the poems of Jiddu Krishnamurti

Each song seeks to preserve the simplicity and essence of the original poem, allowing it to be experienced through music rather than explanation.
The collection includes songs in English and Greek, together with instrumental backing tracks created for singers who wish to perform these musical settings in their own voice.
When a composer decides to set a poem to music, he assumes a responsibility. He must respect the poem, bring out its essence, and deliver it to the listener in a way that leads them deeper into the meaning and emotion the poet sought to express.
If the music does not serve this purpose, it may be better for the poem to remain as it is and be read without music.
For a composer to truly set a poem to music, he must first make it deeply his own; to understand it, feel it, and live it as though it had been born within him. Only then can the music emerge naturally, without betraying the poet's words.
